#2

In the next period of our work we did a lot of things. Firstly, our teacher went to Romania. When she came back, she showed us footage of the trip, e. g. recordings of the other teachers and their introductions. She talked a lot about what is going to happen and how our visits are going to look like. As a bonus, she gave us Romanian sweets!

Also, we assigned who is going where – I, for example, am going to Hungary.

Our teacher explained in detail what the rights we are going to work on are and what they mean to every one of us – the right to a family and the right to freedom. Despite those being a pretty broad topic, I’m sure we’ll be able to make something.
For example, my class was divided into two groups and given the task to write a poem about the rights. One group wrote about the right to freedom, and mine wrote about the right to family. Whilst the other group wrote a serious and quite symbolic poem, we wrote a light-hearted and easygoing one. Those poems will be rewritten in the computer and posted for everyone to see.

Thursday we went to meet the secretary of our community to talk about the project and about the importance of it and how it will be a benefit for us. We also asked a lot of questions about how the community tries to fulfill the right to freedom and family, focusing more on the latter. The interview will be translated and published. Our journalists will also write an essay about it, which will, too, be released in English.

Our work untill now

Currently we are working in a group of 15 students. We were mostly doing drama, but during the last 3 weeks we focused on other things, such as distributing the tasks, developing our promotion video and preparing our presentations. The drama was fun. We associated with each other and became a close group capable of doing the task we were assigned to do. Some of us work in the school - they were assigned to write articles about the Comenius Project - but we are mostly carrying out our tasks at home: combining several videos into a main one, making a signpost with names of the places we are going to visit and writing this blog.

During schooltime a few students walk around with a camera and record our daily life; sometimes even the lessons are recorded. These videos will be used to make our promotion video.
